Artur was born in Berlin, Tenterden on 24 June 1981 to Marina Acker, daughter of Oberstgruppenführer Kasimir Ritter, who at that time was the general commandind the Tenterden Ahnenerbe Forschungs und Lehrgemeinschaft. However, given the circumstances of his birth, and the identity of his father - the British spy Ian Cushing - it was deemed appropriate that he be brought up at the Berlin Lebensborn Centre, rather than by his mother.
